Ombligo’s partners maximize the value from their used IT equipment, while minimizing the associated risks, such as environmental and data security. To maximize value, Ombligo analyzes different selling strategies, configuration options, potential upgrades and distribution channels prior to reselling used IT equipment. While electronic waste may be a relatively new problem, it is one that we need to address today before it is passed on to the next generation to solve. To minimize electronic waste, Ombligo thinks about units in terms of parts (not just whole units) and only recycles those parts which are not resellable, and that it is not able to repurpose for something else.
